The benefits of massaging the hands and feet go beyond comforting relief for just those areas. A spa can be a great way to make the most of the benefits of reflexology in your own home.
We know in China, India and Egypt specific points on an individuals feet and hands are manipulated to affect healing in other parts of the body. Specialists all over the world identified each channel’s reflex points and their corresponding muscles, organs and functions and plotted detailed maps of the hands and feet.
Reflexology involves the application of deep pressure to these reflex points in order to lessen calcium obstructions and free the nerve pathways. This is one of the basic principles of reflexology for relaxation.
The warm water promotes relaxation, enhancing the effects of gentle pressure being applied to the reflex points on the body. Your spa model may have the opportunity of foot rests with jets that conveniently massage all areas of the feet which contain more than 7000 nerve endings.
Using the power of the water jets will target specific pressure points and provide deep tissue massage. There is also the option for stationary and rotating jet streams, and individual comfort control.
Get in touch with Spa-Rite today, and we will guide you in the right direction to purchasing a spa that will make the most of reflexology and it’s fantastic health benefits.

1. Spa Filters
Regular maintenance of your filters is required to help keep your water crystal clear. It is recommended
to clean your filters by hose with high pressure (Not a high pressure cleaner) on a weekly basis.
Paying special attention to each fold in the cartridge to remove any debris that has been filtered from
your water. Through customer feed back, we have found that the best method is to hose vertically up
and down, then invert the filter and repeat the process.
It is suggested to clean your filters after 15 person hours in
your spa by soaking them in Filter Clean . Soak for a minimum of 3 DAYS .
Hose filters thoroughly with clean water after soaking, making sure to get in between each cartridge fold
to the core of the filter. This will ensure the removal of all the body oils and fats, cosmetics, lotions and
hair etc.
TIP: Why not purchase another set of filters for your spa so while the first set are soaking and cleaning,
you can place the other set in and still use your spa.
2. Spa Draining
It is often asked how often you should The usual answer to this is, how
often has the spa been used? It is recommended to dump the water in your spa every 4 to 24 months.
However, if your spa has had higher bather load than average, or longer periods of operation, then this
may be required at an earlier time.So what is average use and bather load?
Customer feed back: We believe this to be 2 people for a period of 20 minutes, three times a week.
3. Spa Equipment
It is very important to understand and know how your spa equipment operates. This way, you are able to maintain the spa system, and recognise when something is wrong with your spa. Know any signals your spa may have, and where to find your control panel.
4. Spa Covers
Spa covers are a great way of keeping your spa clean, keeping the heat in and keeping the children safe! They can save a lot on your electricity bill, and keep your mind at ease. If you use your spa or hot tub cover often, ensure it receives a good rinse with a hose once a month, to keep it fresh.
